Project description:

The project has two main objectives: first, to conduct a new, comprehensive investigation of the source and dynamics of social polarization and, on the basis of this, second, develop new tools to reduce its impact on the denial of human rights and stigmatization of social groups.

The originality of the project lies in its two principles, research and education, based on the long-standing practice of mutually supportive teams. And a methodology developed in collaboration between academics and civil society, which will be provided to other actors in (Czech) society.

The contribution of the project will be the combination of an updated, critical analysis of the dynamics of polarization and its impact on the concept of human rights on the one hand, and its practical application (not only) in the education of the civil sector, which will be aimed at reducing the impact of polarizing effects on stigmatized and vulnerable groups in society and on shifts in the concept of individual and human rights in general on the other.

The project will provide outputs in the form of peer-reviewed publications in (impacted) journals but also in the public media, as well as in the form of accessible methodology, and seminars and workshops.
