On 22 September 2021, a foundation stone laying ceremony was held on the occasion of the construction of a police training centre in Kutná Hora. The event was attended by top representatives of the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of the Interior as a representative of the Programme Operator, the Ministry of Finance from the National Focal Point, as well as the Mayor and other representatives of the town of Kutná Hora. As the construction is financed by Norway Grants and is one of the largest and most important predefined projects supported under the Home Affairs Programme, another guest was the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Robert Kvile.

The aim of this project is to build a functional police training and education centre by rebuilding existing unused military facilities in Kutná Hora. The modern police training centre will not only be used for training and education of police officers, trainers and instructors, but also for other events such as conferences, including international ones, workshops and meetings at various levels.

The total eligible expenditure of the project is approximately CZK 99,297,918 and the construction of the training centre is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
