Project description:

The main goal of the project is to strengthen the status and position of the entire field of film/audio-visual education and to improve the conditions for its support and articulation towards the professional and general public.

The main goal will be fulfilled by individual key supporting activities, which fulfill the preconditions for consolidating the field and its establishment in the field of art education and cultural policy of the Czech Republic.

The key activities target crucial areas of the subject’s development – research, data collection and analysis in terms of the Czech Republic and European context (includes obtaining know-how in Norway and Iceland), organizing training events dedicated to challenges in the field, areas of interest and related issues (authors’ rights, teaching method, film certification, training workshops for professionals, teachers and organizers, working with the public) and promotion of the field itself reaching out to professional and general public.

The result of the project will also be the development of digital and information literacy, which are the most sought after skills of today´s young people. The project will also benefit the professional public by strengthening the existing network of organizations dedicated to film or audio-visual education.
